1. Access the Kitely Website and Log In
- Visit kitely.com.
- If you don’t have a Kitely account, create one by signing up.
- Log in using your username and password.
2. Navigate to the Kitely Marketplace
- On the Kitely homepage, click “Marketplace” or go directly to market.kitely.com.
3. Find the Item You Want to Purchase
- Use the search bar or browse categories to find the item you want.
- Click “Add to Cart” once you’ve selected your item.
4. Proceed to Your Shopping Cart
- Click the cart icon or “View Cart” to review your selected items.
5. Select “Other Avatar” for Delivery
- In the cart, look for delivery options and choose “Other Avatar” to send the item to an avatar on another grid.
6. Add Oligrid to the Grid List (If Necessary)
- If “Oligrid” isn’t listed in the grid options, click “Grid Manager.”
- Select “Add Grid” and enter the grid URI: hg.oligrid.net:8002.
- Save your changes to add Oligrid to the list.
7. Choose “Oligrid” as the Delivery Grid
- From the list of grids, select “Oligrid” as the destination for delivery.
8. Enter the Avatar’s Name on Oligrid
- Type the exact name of the avatar who will receive the item on Oligrid. Double-check the spelling to ensure accuracy.
9. Complete the Purchase
- Proceed to payment. You’ll need Kitely Credits (KC) to buy the item. If you don’t have enough, follow the prompts to purchase more credits.
- Click “Checkout” or “Buy Now” to finalize the transaction.
10. Ensure the Avatar is Online on Oligrid
- The recipient avatar must be logged into Oligrid to receive an instant message (IM) from the Kitely Market.
11. Click the Link in the Received Message
- Once the avatar receives the IM from Kitely Market, they should click the link provided to complete the delivery process.
12. Check the Avatar’s Inventory
- After clicking the link, the item should appear in the avatar’s inventory, usually in the “Objects” folder or “My Suitcase > Objects.”
13. Restart the Viewer if the Item Doesn’t Appear
- If the item doesn’t show up, have the avatar restart their viewer to refresh the inventory.
14. Seek Support if Issues Persist
- If the item still doesn’t appear, the avatar can visit the Kitely support forum or email Kitely support at [email protected] (mailto:[email protected]).
Important Tips to Avoid Issues
- Verify order details: After purchasing, check your order history on the Kitely website to confirm the item was sent to the correct avatar and grid.
- Avatar must be online: The recipient needs to be logged into Oligrid to receive the IM. If they miss it, they may need to log into the Kitely grid (grid.kitely.com:8002:Kitely Welcome Center) as a backup, though this is rare.
- Check compatibility: Ensure the item works with Oligrid’s version of OpenSim, as some items may not function on older grid versions.
